The Boca Raton is investing $25 million in a comprehensive transformation of its historic 18-hole golf course—another major investment reinforcing Boca Raton’s position as one of South Florida’s premier luxury lifestyle destinations.
The redesigned course is scheduled to reopen in late fall 2026. The project is being led by renowned golf architect Brian Silva, whose work will honor the course’s Golden Age heritage while introducing modern improvements in strategy, playability, conditioning and sustainability.
For prospective members, nearby homeowners and luxury real estate buyers, this is more than a golf story. It is another example of how continued investment in Boca Raton’s lifestyle amenities can strengthen the appeal of the surrounding real estate market.
The $25 million is specifically tied to the golf transformation and its related amenities. According to the resort’s published project information, the improvements include:
The course will change from a par 71 to a longer par 70 layout, emphasizing thoughtful angles, strategic choices and ground-game options.
The Boca Raton’s golf history dates to 1926, when Addison Mizner commissioned Donald Ross to create the property’s original course. The golf facilities later evolved through work associated with William Flynn and other respected architects.
Brian Silva is known for restoring and reinterpreting classic American golf architecture. His approach at The Boca Raton draws inspiration from the principles associated with Ross, Flynn and other Golden Age designers while adapting the course for the modern game.
Approximately one-third of the holes are being reimagined, while the remaining holes will preserve their existing routing with careful reshaping and infrastructure improvements. The goal is to respect the property’s history without sacrificing modern playability or course conditions.
The golf course closed for construction on April 7, 2026, and is projected to reopen in late fall 2026.
The work is extensive. Each hole is being excavated, reshaped or redesigned as part of the project, and the course is receiving a new irrigation system. The practice areas are also being upgraded as part of the overall transformation.
Reopening schedules for major construction projects can change, so members and prospective members should confirm timing directly with The Boca Raton.
The current joining fee is approximately $200,000. Annual dues, taxes and other charges also apply.
Unlike residential country club communities where membership is mandatory with the purchase of a home, membership at The Boca Raton Club is separate from homeownership and is subject to application, approval and availability.
Membership details and pricing are not publicly itemized on the club’s website. Prospective members should confirm the current joining fee, annual dues, membership privileges, golf access and any waitlist directly with the membership office before making a financial or real estate decision.

The Boca Raton Club offers a broad resort-style membership experience extending well beyond golf. Depending on the applicable membership terms, amenities include:
The combination of golf, beach, dining, wellness, racquet sports and family amenities differentiates The Boca Raton from a traditional golf-only club.
Luxury buyers do not evaluate a home in isolation. They consider the complete lifestyle surrounding it: golf access, beach access, dining, wellness, recreation, social programming and the level of continued investment in those amenities.
A $25 million golf transformation adds another high-profile amenity to East Boca Raton and can increase interest in residences located near the resort. That includes luxury condominiums, waterfront properties, downtown residences and homes offering convenient access to the club.
Club membership does not automatically accompany the purchase of a nearby property, and proximity does not guarantee membership approval. However, buyers who want access to a resort-style club without purchasing inside a mandatory-membership country club community may find this model especially attractive.
The Boca Raton’s investment reflects a larger trend across Palm Beach County: leading clubs and resorts are investing heavily in golf, dining, wellness, racquets and family experiences.
These projects are not simply about keeping facilities current. They are about competing for today’s luxury buyer—someone who may value a complete year-round lifestyle as much as the home itself.
Lifestyle drives demand. Demand drives value.
The Boca Raton’s $25 million course transformation reinforces the qualities that continue to attract buyers to Boca Raton: exceptional recreation, luxury hospitality, coastal living and substantial long-term investment in the community’s amenities.
The announced $25 million project covers the comprehensive golf-course transformation and its related golf amenities, including the practice facility, rebuilt bunkers, irrigation improvements and two new dining concepts connected to the golf experience.
Golf architect Brian Silva is leading the redesign. His work is known for restoring and enhancing classic Golden Age golf architecture.
The course is projected to reopen in late fall 2026.
The current joining fee is approximately $200,000. Because the club does not publicly itemize its current fee schedule, prospective members should confirm the joining fee, annual dues, availability and approval requirements directly with the club.
The Boca Raton operates as a private resort club rather than a mandatory-membership residential country club community. Membership is separate from homeownership and remains subject to the club’s application and approval process.
